Anita Balázs-Miklovicz is a Licensed Psychologist, Coach, and Trainer with a private practice in Luxembourg, currently working online. Anita specializes in working with adults without mental diseases, couples and families. She received her Masters Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest and her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Debrecen. Anita continues her Post Master’s studies in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Szeged. Anita finished her studies in schema therapy and family & couple therapy, currently working under supervision before getting her final license. Anita is an active member of the Hungarian Family Therapy Association and the Association of Positive Psychology Luxembourg.
Prior to working in private practice and hospitals, Anita was working at multinational companies as a Senior Recruiter and a Team Leader. Interviewing, and advising people in different positions and seniority levels helped her to get a better understanding of challenges in a competitive business environment such as stress management, burnout, people management, work-life balance, change management, and motivational problems.
Anita is a person who is constantly eager to improve herself professionally, and grabs as many opportunities as she can to participate in professional workshops, in order to provide the best help she can to her clientele.
Anita creates a space where clients feel safe to discuss and create change. She believes that everyone has the ability for personal growth. She helps them through this process while deepening their self-knowledge, in order to live their lives more balanced, fulfilled, and happier.
Anita uses a combination of approaches to suit her clients’ personal and specific needs and goals. She uses cognitive behavior techniques, schema therapy, and systems approach.
Anita was born and raised in Hungary, and moved to Luxembourg recently. Due to this, she has a hands-on experience with the challenges of moving and living abroad and how to maximize the success of ex-pat life.
Anita specializes in working with adults without mental diseases, couples and families. She has a passion for working with adults in normative/developmental crises, such as launching into adulthood, marriage, childbirth, loss of a loved one, retirement, etc., that often is encountered during the typical course of development and that require significant psychological, behavioral, or other adjustments. Anita deepened her knowledge in the psychological effects of fertility challenges, in vitro fertilization programs, and helps through her clients on this emotional roller coaster. She teaches them techniques that help to regulate their emotions in both individual sessions and in couple therapies.
Anita is also supporting clients with a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, emotional distress, and low self-esteem.
She believes that all people can grow, change and live a balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling life.
